The Silky Oaks approach……..

Garden Coaching

At Silky Oaks, garden coaching isn’t about imposing a perfect design or overwhelming you with rules. It’s about helping you build a garden that works for your life — one that evolves, adapts and grows with you. Our permaculture based approach is not a rigid system but a way of thinking. A way of observing patterns, working with nature instead of against it, and designing spaces that are productive, resilient and beautiful.

My role is to guide you — not judge you.

Whether you’re just starting out or refining an established space, I focus on practical, achievable steps that build confidence. We look at soil health, plant choice, biodiversity, seasonal rhythms and multifunctional design — but always through the lens of what feels manageable and sustainable for you. I am passionate about helping people grow food and plants that serve many purposes: nourishment, habitat, medicine, beauty and joy. I care deeply about increasing biodiversity in small and large spaces alike. I believe gardening is more than productivity. It is grounding. It builds capability. It restores connection — to land, to seasons, and to self.

There is no perfect garden. There is only the next thoughtful step. And I would be honoured to walk that journey with you.
